IgM and IgA levels were significantly reduced, the IgG level was borderline and specific antibody responses to ’Pneumovax’, tetanus toxoid and HIB were absent Three months after drug withdrawal, antibody responses to tetanus toxoid and HIB were restored and IgM and IgG levels had normalised. However, the Pneumovax response was still suboptimal and the IgA deficiency persisted Kirkpatrick CH, et al. Transient antibody deficiency during carbamazepine treatment.
