Immunological disorders: case reportSymptoms of sinusitis intensified several months after a

45-year-old man started carbamazepine therapy for seizureprophylaxis. IgM and IgA levels were significantly reduced, theIgG level was borderline and specific antibody responses to’Pneumovax’, tetanus toxoid and HIB were absent Threemonths after drug withdrawal, antibody responses to tetanustoxoid and HIB were restored and IgM and IgG levels hadnormalised.
