Cough, fever, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia:case report
A 58-year-old man, with an 8-year, long-term survival oflimited-stage small cell lung cancer, was diagnosed withdiffuse large B cell lymphoma of the left supraclavicular lymphnode. He received radiation of the left neck and chemotherapywith CHOP-R for four cycles and then CEPP-R for two cycles[dosages and routes not stated].* He was subsequentlyadmitted to an emergency room for intractable cough, low-grade fever, severe neutropenia and thrombocytopenia due tointense chemotherapy [time to reaction onset not clearlystated]. He received antibacterials; in addition, he underwent aplatelet transfusion due to underlying cirrhosis and varicealbleeding. On last follow-up he was in complete remission[patient outcome not clearly stated].
