Reactions 1401 - 12 May 2012 Carbamazepine Dizziness: case report A 47-year-old woman started carbamazepine 400–600 mg/day [route not stated] for facial pain associated with trigeminal neuralgia. Two months later, she presented with dizziness as side effect of carbamazepine [duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated]. Due to persistent pain, epiphora and a pus-like eye discharge, she was re-diagnosed with lacrimal dacryostenosis mimicking trigeminal neuralgia, and underwent an intranasal dacryocystorhinostomy.
