D er Ver e i n Verwaiste Eltern und trau e r n d e G eschw ister Schlesw ig H olstein, e in gem einnütziger Verein und Landesverband im B undesverband Verwaiste Eltern i n D eutschland, schloss sich d i e s e m G edanken an – und so r i e f j e t z t a u c h d i e R egion Föhr A m rum dieses Landesverbands e i n e P f l a n z a k t i o n u n t e r d e m N am en »H im m elsbäum e Föhr« b e z i e h u n g s w eise auf Friesisch » H em elsbuum er Feer« ins Le b e n . E n g e l & V ölkers unterstütz t e d i e s e A ktion m iteinerSpende i n H öhe von 250 Euro. D urch die großen H erbststür m e Xaver und C hristian ist der B aum bestand stark in M itlei d e n s c h a f t g e z o g e n worden, die Kosten fü r d ie Aufforstung sind i m m ens: D eshalb bat Brigitte W u lf von Verein Verwaiste E l t e r n S c h l e s w igH olstein,R egion F ö h r A m ru m , d ie Kom m unal v e r waltung um d ie A usw ei s u n g e i n e r F r e i f l ä c h e , u m einen » W a ld der Erinnerung« zu ini t i i e r e n . » W ie der O rkan unsere W älder verw üstet hat, hat der T o d d e s K indes in den Fam ilien s e i n e S p u r e n h i n t e r l a s s e n « , e r k l ä r t s i e . D abeihabe es sich kei n e s f a l l s u m die Errichtung eines Ruheforstes gehandelt,vielm ehr w ürden N eues, Lebendigkeit, Wachstum und Erinnerung so w ie die Aufforstung ineinander g r e i f e n u n d v e r w aisten Eltern d i e Möglichkeit geben, e tw as N achhaltiges für ih r verstorbe n e s Kind zu hinterlassen. V ie le alte B äum e sind durch d i e H erbststürm e auch im Wald z w ischen den Straßen A m G rünstreifen und R ugstieg um g e s t ü r z t . D ieses G ebiet stellte d i e S t a d t W yk fürdie »H im m els b ä u m e« zur Verfügung. Fam ili e n k o n n t e n f ü r d i e P f l a n z a k t i o n a m le tz te n Sonnabend im A pril e i n e n B aum beim städtischen H afenbetrieb G rünBau oderei n e r Baum schule aufFöhrerw e r b e n . B aum setzlinge w ie Buche, E i c h e , Birke,A horn,Ilex,Buchs, R hododendron und Ä hnliches w aren w illkom m ene G ehölze, d i e a u c h v o n z u H ause m it g e b r a c h t w erden durften. D ie v o n d e n F a m ilien gespendeten P f l a n z e n s i n d i n d e n B esitz der S t a d t Wyk übergegangen. D as Logo der Verw aisten El t e r n u n d t r a u e r n d e n G eschw is t e r S c h l e s w igH olstein ist ein b u n t e r S c h m etterling, der von K inderhand gezeichnet w urde. E r w eist auf einer Inform ations t a f e l d e n Weg und erscheint a u f e i n e r S k u l p t u r , d i e i n m itten d e r » H im m elsbäum e« errichtet w orden ist. D er H olzbildhauer H einrich O ettinger aus Flens b u r g h a t e i n e n D alben aus dem Wyker H afen m it Schm etterlin g e n g e s t a l t e t , d i e s i c h g e r a d e a u f d e n Weg begeben in das L i c h t u n d d e n H im m el.
