Uroczystosc Trójcy Przenajswietszej The Most Holy Trinity Sunday Bóg ujawnil sie na poziomie swiata materialnego poprzez ma-drosc slowa w czasie, bo czas jest istotna cecha tego swiata. Czas to przede wszystkim rozwój, a nie tylko przemijanie. Ksiega Przyslów jezykiem poezji opowiada o przechodzeniu Madrosci stwórczego slowa od bezladu pierwotnej materii do form bardziej zlozonych i doskonalszych, az do istot zywych i inteligentnych. Swiatlo i ciemnosc, ziemia i niebo, woda i ogien, ryby i ptaki, drzewa utworzyly komnate, w której mógl pojawic sie czlowiek, czyli podobienstwo samego Boga. Ma-drosc Boga, dokonawszy stworzenia swiata zewnetrznego, przeszla do tworzenia glebi ludzkiego ducha. List do Rzymian daje nam obraz tego dzialania, poczawszy od usprawiedliwie-nia inicjujacego nowe stworzenie, przez etap wiary, która daje dostep do laski, przez ucisk, który tworzy wytrwalosc, przez szlachetnosc cnoty przechodzi do nadziei, a ta dopiero staje sie komnata milosci rozlanej przez Ducha. Na takim tle latwiej nam pojac, dlaczego Jezus mówi swoim uczniom, ze móglby jeszcze wiele im powiedziec, ale nie sa gotowi zniesc blasku prawdy i Duch doprowadzi ich stopniowo do pelni poznania. Nawet pelnia prawdy o Bogu, który jest Trójca, potrzebuje czasu, rozwoju, przygotowania . Bóg dokonuje swoich dziel, stopniowo oswajajac czlowieka z laskami, które zawsze sa zbyt wielkie, by je po prostu przyjac. Nadmiar dobra moze byc nie do zniesienia. Lud wybrany, wszedlszy do Kanaanu, mial zdobywac Ziemie Swieta stopniowo, gdyz, jak mówi Ksiega Wyjscia, rozpanoszylyby sie dzikie zwierzeta, które spustoszylyby obiecana przestrzen uswiecenia narodu. Kiedy osiagamy jakis poziom istnienia zbyt szybko, na skróty, wtedy ujawnia sie w nas zadza lub zachlannosc bestii. Na wszystkich drogach zycia na tym swiecie potrzebna jest cier-pliwosc, a przede wszystkim na tej drodze, która wiedzie poza ten swiat. Kazdego dnia, za cene cierpien, które blogosla-wie, ucze sie tej prawdy: cierpliwosc jest wszystkim (R.M.Rilke).

The greatest calamity of World War II was the Nazi occupation of Warsaw and the subsequent slaughter of humanity in the concentration camps. The following words of great faith and hope were found written on the wall of one of the concentra-tion camps: I believe in the sun even when it isn't shining. I believe in love even when it isn't feeling. I believe in God even when he is silent. This little story of faith and hope in time of greatest persecution and suffering clearly explains the

meaning and the purpose of to-day's feast of the Blessed Trin-ity. It simply reminds us that God exists and He is the mas-ter-planner of our lives. It re-minds us that God is as much a reality as the air we breath for the preservation of life. Today's feast of the Blessed Trinity re-minds us that God is as much a mystery as life itself. It simply reminds us that life, without any connection to God, is

worthless, meaningless, and emptiness. I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now, says Jesus in today's Gos-pel lesson. When he comes, however, being the Spirit of truth he will guide you to all truth. Faith is God's gift, which is be-stowed upon us by the power of the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of truth as Jesus himself reminds us today. It is the Holy Spirit who enlightens our intellect to grasp the truth about the mystery of One God in three Persons possessing One Divine Nature - the Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God. My friends, the great doctor of the Church, St. Augustine, explains our relationship with God in these words: God is not valued at all, unless He is valued above all. Amen.
