AntlneOplastlcs Raynaud's disease treated with 00 ni fedipine: case report Ei ght months after receiving cisplatin, bleomycin , etoposide and vinblastine for germ cell testicular carcinoma , an 18-year-old man developed severe dysaesthesia in the fingers and toes and Raynaud's syndro me was diagosed. Despite treatment with topical nitroqlycerin [glyceryl trinitrate] and nerve stimulation, his condition deteriorated. Ulcers developed on the tip of both index fingers and he could not close his hands tightl y. Symptoms resolved following treatment with nifedipine 10mg tid. After 6 months of nifedipine treatment his only symptoms were dysaesthesia in both index fingers . The authors recommended ' ... the use of nlfedlplne In the treatment of this fairly common complication to bleomycin, vinblastine, VP-16 [etoposlde1 and c/splatin therapy'. Andersen LB . Eight months after receiving cisplatin, bleomycin , etoposide and vinblastine for germ cell testicular carcinoma, an 18-year-old man developed severe dysaesthesia in the fingers and toes and Raynaud 's syndrome was diagosed. Despite treatment with topical nitroqlycerin [glyceryl trinitrate] and nerve stimulation, his condition deteriorated. Ulcers developed on the tip of both index fingers and he could not close his hands tightly.
Symptoms resolved following treatment with nifedipine 10mg tid. After 6 months of nifedipine treatment his only symptoms were dysaesthesia in both index fingers .
