Reactions 1357 - 25 Jun 2011 S Antineoplastics Various toxicities and death in an elderly patient: case report A 67-year-old man with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma began receiving rituximab 500mg plus cyclophosphamide 400mg, doxorubicin 40mg, vincristine 2mg and prednisone 60mg [R-CHOP; routes not stated]; the dosages of cyclophosphamide and doxorubicin were increased to 800mg and 60mg, respectively, during cycles 2-4. He developed serious complications following the fourth cycle of R-CHOP, including neutropenia, diarrhoea, intestinal bleeding, peritonitis and pneumonia [duration of treatment to reaction onset not clearly stated].
