Hypothyroidism: 14 case reportsIn a retrospective study, 11 boys and three girls aged

2–16 years were diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.Patients received three or six cycles of chemotherapyaccording to the ABVD protocol, which included IVdoxorubicin 25 mg/m2, bleomycin 10 mg/m2, vinblastine6 mg/m2 and dacarbazine 375 mg/m2 on days 1 and 15.Radiotherapy was also administered in all patients, with12 patients receiving radiotherapy to the neck or mantleregion. Thyroid dysfunction was detected between the firstyear and more than five years after chemotherapy. Threepatients were diagnosed with overt hypothyroidism, whilethe remaining 11 patients were diagnosed with subclinicalhypothyroidism [outcomes not stated].Demirkaya M, et al.
