It is a pleasure to invite you to the Mineral Engineering
Conference (MEC 2013), from September 16 to 19. This year
conference features the 18th International Conference of Mineral
Processing and the 50th Symposium Physical Problems of Mineral
Processing, the symposium series founded by Professor Janusz
Laskowski. We will also celebrate 80th birthday of Dr. Jerzy Sablik,
a retired professor at the Central Mining Institute in Katowice.
The beautiful surroundings of the Lower Silesia District, near the
historic city of Wroclaw, will provide a wonderful opportunity for
professional interaction between business and academia.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
• Analytical techniques and applied mineralogy
• Computer applications
• Comminution, classification and sorting
• Froth flotation
• Solid-liquid separation
• Gravity concentration
• Magnetic and electric separation
• Hydro and biohydrometallurgy
• Extractive metallurgy
• Recycling and mineral wastes
• Environmental aspects of mineral processing
• Fine particle technology
• Fundamentals of solid/liquid separation
• and other mineral processing related subjects
CALL FOR PAPERS
The papers may deal with a wide range of topics from physico-
chemical process fundamentals, bio- and hydrometallurgy,
sustainability, ecology to engineering problems.
Accepted papers will appear in the Journal of Mining and
Geoengineering or Physicochemical Problems of Mineral
Processing (PPMP). PPMP is an international journal with 0.5
Impact Factor publishing original peer-review research papers on
all aspects of mineral processing.
Please send full texts of your paper until 15 of January 15, 2013
for PPMP 49(2) or May 31, 2013 for 50(1), and until 30 of April for
Journal of Mining and Geoengineering. The papers for
Physicochemical Problems of Mineral Processing (PPMP) and the
papers for Journal of Mining and Geoengineering must be written
in English. The paper should not contain more than 10 pages
(Times New Roman 12, interspace 1.5). It will be reviewed
according to the rules of the journals. The ones qualified for
printing, after being reviewed and revised, written in MS Word
