Dear Fellow Motoring Enthusiast, It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the 2014 RACV Fly the Flag Eastern Tour. In 2014 we celebrate 100 years of RACV Tourism and Travel, so it seems appropriate that we will be touring the one corner of the state not previously visited by a Fly the Flag Tour - the far eastern corner. The tour will start at RACV Noble Park and travel via Churchill to our first night at Bairnsdale. The following day we travel the coast to Merimbula for the first of our two night stops. Following a day of touring the local area, you are in for a special treat at dinner on Monday evening. We then travel to Cooma for our next stay. On Wednesday the tour travels via Bombala and the magnificent Burnima homestead, on to Cann Riverand then back to Lakes Entrance for the second two night stopover. These extended stays ensure there issufficient time to enjoy the many and varied attractions on offer in these popular tourist destinations. The popular fancy dress dinner dance promises to be a highlight of the tour and will be held on our second night at Lakes Entrance. On Friday morning we head for the Gippsland Vehicle Collection in Maffra and then on to Traralgonwhere the annual auction will be held in support of the RACV Community Foundation. For the final day of our tour we return to Yarra Glen where our presentation and farewell luncheon will be held at the Yarra Valley Racing Club. RACV is proud to sponsor the 2014 Fly the Flag Tour and will again be providing road service patrols as an escort. I invite you to join us in this eight day celebration of vintage and classic motoring and encourage allparticipants to "Fly the Flag" in promoting RACV and the heritage vehicle movement to the regionalcommunities of Victoria's Eastern Districts.
