1921 The 30’s 1929 1947 1990 The 40’s The 60’s 1956 2015 The 1st Poznań Trade Fair, a domestic trade show, was organised between 28 May and 5 June 1921 at the initiative of Poznań merchants. General Domestic Exhitibion (PWK) was an overview of the economic and cultural achievements of Poland. The exhibitions, organised on a space of 650.000 m2, attracted 4.5 mln visitors. In the 1930s the Poznań International Fair flourished and was ranked the fourth European organiser of international trade shows. In the 1940s, the trade grounds, which were badly destroyed druing WW II, were rebuilt and expanded. In the following years Poznań International Fair developed its exhibition programme and gradually added new exhibitions and trade shows. The 20th Poznań International Fair takes place. It is the first fair held after the Second World War. A general strike against the communist rule in Poznań. The events of 28 June 1956 were witnessed by thousands of trade fair guests from Poland and abroad. A rapid development of the Poznań International Fair and problems with the exhibition space. Exhibitions are additionally organised in different city locations. The Poznań International Fair transforms into a limited liability company with the State Treasure as one of its shareholders. The Poznań International Fair becomes a company wholly owned by the City of Poznań. Poznań International Fair (MTP) is a leader of the Polish exhibition industry, having about 55% share in the exhibition market in Poland, which ranks it the first organizer of exhibition events and fair in Central and Eastern Europe. MTP is a member of the organizations which gather worldwide exhibition leaders, including UFI –Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, Centrex – International Exhibition Statistics Union, EMECA - European Major Exhibition Centers Association. MTP’s product portfolio consists of more than a hundred tradeshows organi- zed annually or biannually. The Spire has since become one of Poznań landmarks.

The 1st Poznań Trade Fair, a domestic trade show, was organised between 28 May and
