All patients started receiving oxcarbazepine 300mg, with final doses of 450–900mg [frequencies, routes and indications not stated]. They developed maculopapular eruptions, defined by the study as an erythematous exanthema without blistering or pustulation, with latency times of 8–17 days [outcomes not stated]. DNA analysis found the frequency of the HLA-B*3802 allele was significantly higher in this group of patients than in oxcarbazepine-tolerant patients.
