During my time with the City of Ansonia I know employees retired;employees that worked for the City, giving their best effort daily.

Employees who retired received benefits in accordance with their union

or non-union contracts. We live in a community where there is not "sixdegrees of separation," but rather three or less. People who arequestioning past practices by any administration should be reminded thatthose they are questioning could be the same person they sit next to atchurch, the same person whose weddings and funerals they attend, the

 person they stand side-by-side at a little league, soccer, or football game.

We are a small town with residents who make a conscious choice to livehere, work here, and give back to their community throughvolunteerism.

Improving the future of the City of Ansonia is important, but we can doit without publicly attacking a retired employee. Let’s move forward !
