We are looking for reliable, patient and fun-loving people aged 18 or over to work on our summer camps with teenagers aged 13-16 during July and August.

The duties include living with the teenagers and participating in the activities arranged for them. Every day, they choose from activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, hiking, scuba diving and swimming. The activities are organized by our experienced instructors.

The jobs are full-time and last for 12 weeks. You will have one free day a week and two or three hours free time every day. We will pay your travel costs and give you accommodation and all meals. We will also pay for all the activities.

Advertising began thousands of years ago. In Ancient Egypt, people made posters from papyrus which was the first paper. After they invented printing, advertising became more and more popular. In the 17th century, people put adverts in newspapers.

Now we all see thousands of advertisements every day. They’re on TV, on the radio, at the cinema, in the street, on buses, at train stations, at sports stadiums, and in many other places. We can’t get away from them. Companies even send information to our homes and there are adverts all over the Internet.

10.3

The largest group of adverts is for food. After that, it’s medicines, cosmetics, cars, cigarettes and electrical things. During national holidays, we see hundreds of adverts for gifts such as toys, perfume and special kinds of food.

10.4

Companies try to make exciting and interesting adverts. They sometimes use celebrities to sell their products. Many people don’t like advertising because we buy things we don’t want or need. They think it’s wrong to show adverts for toys and fast food to children.
