Reactions 1303 - 29 May 2010 S Carbamazepine Stevens-Johnson syndrome: case report A 58-year-old man developed Stevens-Johnson syndrome after ingestion of carbamazepine [dosage, indication and time to reaction onset not stated]. He developed denudation of his skin over large areas of his trunk, face and limbs. He was admitted and received systemic steroids and antibiotics with amniotic membrane as a biological dressing. His pain resolved immediately and his ulcers improved over the following 17 days, whereafter he was discharged. John A, et al. Use of amniotic membrane in dermatology.
