Antineoplastics Benign melanocytic naevi in a child: case report Acute lymphatic l euk aemi a developed in an 8-year-old boy and was treated with antineoplastic therapy. Following a bone marrow transplant from his identical twin, th e patient received cyclophosphamide and mesna therapy with total body irradiation . The patient reco ve red and did not require further treatment. However , he developed a large number of moles , far more than his twin brother. The authors ' . . . could not detect any aetiological factor for the development of the moles other than radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which adds further weight to our hypothesis that immunosuppression stimulates the development of benign melanocytic naevi'. Acute lymphatic leukaemia developed in an 8-year-old boy and was treated with antineoplastic therapy. Following a bone marrow transplant from his identical twin, the patient received cyclophosphamide and mesna therapy with total body irradiation . The patient recovered and did not requ ire further treatment. However, he developed a large number of moles , far more than his twin brother.
