After 4 months of antifungals, lung lesions had resolved. After 6 months, his liver lesion had shrunk. Maintenance chemotherapy commenced; antifungal treatment was changed to itraconazole. Fever resolved, and herpes transformed to scabs. Two weeks later, CT scan showed improvement of existing lesions, but formation of new lesions. She had a mild fever, cough, and increased WBC and neutrophil counts. After voriconazole treatment, her symptoms improved. Significant improvement in her lesions was observed on follow-up CT scan. She received further chemotherapy with concomitant voriconazole or itraconazole. After 7 months of antifungals, CT scan showed complete resolution of pulmonary lesions. No fungal infections recurred. A 12-year-old girl received VDLP for ALL. Subsequently, tumour lysis syndrome, DIC, intestinal infection, intracranial haemorrhages, and septic shock developed. Meropenem, itraconazole and vancomycin were given for 15 days.
