I am directed to say that in regard to reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes inposts/services under the Central Govsrnment, the question whether in tbose cases whete the numb€r of.'curtcnf' rcservcd vacancies and the "carry forward" reserved vacancies put together exceeds 50 per-

2.11, ..The Committee recommend that the Department of Persoupl and Administrativc

Rcforms in co'ordination with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, should

devise 4 scheme by which vacancies reserved for Scheduled Castes 8nd Scheduled

Tribes are regularly announced or advertised from rhe various statioDs ofAll-IndiaRadio and, set of timings for such ptoSrammes shou|d be fixed so that Scheduled

2. The above recommendation has been considered in colsultation with the Ministry oftnformation and Broadcasting and it has beel acceptcd for implementation. A St"te wise list ot All-

and scheduled Tribes in Group c and Group D Posts are noti0ed to the appropriatc station

followed in this regard :-

(i) - At the tlEe wben tbe vrcalcies are notified to lhe local Employment Exchange to

suggest names for the reserved vacancies, the appointing authorities concerned

shouldsimultaneouslynotifysuchreservedvacanciesaPpropriatl}'tooneormoreofthestationsoftheAll-IndiaRadio,mentionedinthelistreferfedtoabove.

(ii) If caodidates belonging to scheduled castes, and seheduled Tribes are trot available

tbrough the Locai Employment Exchange, such vacancies are intioated to th6

Central Eqployment Exchange and they are advertised in the newspapers eithet by

the Director-General of Eoployment and Training through tbeir Periodical advertis'

ements or by tbe appointing authorities themselves through the Directorate of' Advertieing and Visual Publiciry. Eesides, notifying vacarcies to All-India Radio

stations according to tb€ procedure in (i) above, the reserved vacaDcies should

also be notifed by the Drrcctorate General of Employment and Ttaining/concerned

appoioting authorities to one more of the Stations of the All-India Radio mentioned

in the aforesaid list, simultaneously with the advertisements in newspapers.

(iiit The annoutrcemenrs of reserved vacancies on statioDs of the All-Itrdia Radio

should contain and an advice to prospective candidates to get tbeir naoes registeted

with thc Employment Exchange of the area and to aPproach the EmPloyment

' Excbange for further assistance.
