EXHIBITION- The Triennialwill be opened tn May 2009 in The National Museum of

PrzemySl Land in PrzemySl. The main exhibition will be accompanied byan exhibition of a Triennial 2009 Grand Prix winner. The exhibition willbe repeated in each of the countries co-organizing the Triennial

- the received documentatrons will not be sent back to the artists- the Entry Forms will be accepted and the qualification will be committedby the Qualification Jury- all artists will be informed as soon as possible about the Jurys decision once it has been taken;the artists qualified forthe exhibition willbe inlormed by the 0rganizer how to send their works- the deadline for sending Entry Forms to the Modern Art Gallery inPrzemySl is November 30, 2008.

JURY- the Triennial 0rganizer will appoint the International Jury representingall countries taking part in the competition- the National Curators will be the members of the Jury- the President of the Jury will be appointed by the 0rganizerPRIZESHaving seen all works chosen bythe National Curators and qualified bytheQualif ication Jury in the 0pen Competition the International Jury will award:Grand Prix, Joint Prizes Endowed Prizes and National 0rganizer prizes.The International Jury has a right not to accept works offending and abusingreligrous and national feelings as well as works differing from the onespresented in the digltal documentation.The winner of Grand Prix will be invited for a one-man/woman show inPrzemySl within the next edition of Triennial.GENERAL RESOLUTIONS- works sent for the exhibition should be clearly labelled to identify themwithout any problems; they should be f ramed well and neaily to exhibit

them in the right way- works framed with glass will not be accepted- works should be ready for exhibiting- each works should be well packed; the package should be labelled and

strong enough to be used repeatedly- once the works arrive to the Gallery, the 0rganizers are fully responsiblefor them until they are sent back (or are collected by the artists themse lves)- in the case of works damaged while being transported to the Gallerya protocol will be drawn up by a commission; damaged works will nottake part in the exhibition

- works will be sent back to the artists by the end of June 2010- each participant will receive a free copy of the Triennial Catalogue- the 0rganizers have a right to publish free of charge the images of sub-mitted works in all sorts of mass media

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:- only professional artists (the graduated from various art colleges and

academies or members of artist unions or associations) living within theterritory of Carpathian Euroregion (as mentioned above) can take part inthe Triennial- there is no participation fee- Triennial is a competition- only paintings made in 2006-2009 with any painting technique and onany ground and no longer (or wider) thanlB0 cm will be accepted

- in the case of works composed of several paris each part will be consi-dered a separate work- each work should be signed and dated; it should have an identifying label- taking part in the Triennial means to give the organizers the permissionto use the submitted works till the end of June 2010 as the items ofthe post-competition exhibition and of other exhibitions in Poland andabroad, to publish them with no charge in TV, press, Internet as wellas in the printed catalogue and on CD; it means also the acceptance forusing the personal data of a participant

QUALIFYING FOR THE ilHIBITIONAn artist can either be invited personal ly by a National Curator to representthe country as a member of the National Team or can take part in the opencompetition.

NATIONALTEAMS- artists invited by the National Curators, the representatives of National

0rganizers from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary, cantake part both in the competition and exhibition- the invited artists make National Teams and will take part in the Triennialfollowing no qualification procedure- the National Curators can invite to the National Team artists who are notliving at the moment in Carpathian Euroregion but are closely relatedto it due to their origin- the National Curators can invite artists to take part in the main exhibitionwhile their works will not be judged by the jury.

OPEN COMPEIITION- each artist can send (or bring)with the Entry Form up to 3 digital images

(tiff or jpg {ormat, at least 300 dpi, no longer (or wider)than 20 cm, qualitygood enough for possible printing in the catalogue) of his/her works; theimages must be on a CD labelled with the artist's name and country- the numbers of the works on CD should be the same as the numbers ofworks in the Entrv Form

- to sign the Entry Form means to accept the Triennial Regulations
