I have always been passionate about archaeology, and I’ve wanted to develop this interest 1.1___ the fact that I’m going to do a degree in dentistry. So, at the beginning of my gap year, I applied 1.2___ a place with the Archaeology Project in Peru and I was accepted. I’ve been here for over a week now, and I’m really enjoying the experience. I am living with the other volunteers in a community house in the town of Huyro. We spend most of the day 1.3___ alongside some expert Peruvian archaeologists. It’s hard and sometimes monotonous work, but we all feel that we’re doing something really important. And, of course, we all hope to 1.4___ an exciting discovery! Just like that group of volunteers who had discovered a settlement from the Inca Period only a few weeks before I arrived here. Amazing! I really wish that I 1.4___ here at that time!
