UTTAR GUJARAT VIJ COMPANY LIMITED is one of the pioneer Power Distribution Utilities in India in the Electricity Industry. Incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 in Sept-2003 as a result of unbundling of erstwhile Gujarat Electricity Board pursuant to Power Sector Reforms initiated by the Central and State Governments, the Company became commercially operational since April-2005. The Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (A Govt. of Gujarat Undertaking)

The Main Object to be pursued in terms of the Memorandum of Association of the Company is:

To undertake the electricity sub-transmission distribution and retail supply in the State of Gujarat or outside the State and for this purpose to plan, acquire, establish, construct, erect, lay, operate, run, manage, maintain, enlarge, alter, renovate, modernize, work and use a power system network in all its aspects and also to carry on the business of purchasing, selling, importing, exporting, wheeling, trading of electrical energy, including formulation of tariff, billing and collection thereof and then to study, investigate, collect information and data, review operations, plan, research, design and prepare project reports, diagnose operational difficulties and weaknesses and advise on the remedial measures to improve and modernize existing sub-transmission and supply lines and sub-stations.

With a Vision to be World Class Electricity Utility striving for social and economic development of the assigned region with a mission of 'Consumer Satisfaction through Service Excellence, the Company operates through the network spread over 50,000 Sq. Kms. covering six full districts in northern region of Gujarat and three part districts in western and central areas.

The Company serves more than 30 Lakh consumers of various categories, such as residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and others, through its Section Offices, Sub Division Offices and Division Offices throughout its operational area, divided into four Circles. The business affairs are managed/taken care of by Corporate Office, presently headquartered at Mehsana. The operations are managed by more than 7000 employees spread across North Gujarat.

Engaged in the business of distribution of electricity in the northern parts of the State of Gujarat, it has been the winner of National Awards, a Gold Shield and a Bronze Shield; India Power Awards for four consecutive years, IEEMA Power Award-2008 in the Category: Excellence in Rural Electrification, ICWAI Awards and various other awards of national repute.

UGVCL is a pioneer company for Special Design Transformers, accredited with ISO 9001:2008 Standard for 'Management and Enhancement of Electricity Distribution Operations', and the Company's Hi-Tech Meter Testing Laboratory is accredited with National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, the first among State DISCOMs. In March 2013, Ministry of Power, Government of India released First Annual Integrated Ratings of state power distribution utilities under integrated rating methodology. According to the ratings, UGVCL secured an A+ rating, making it the second-best state power distribution utility across India. On 03- Aug-2013, UGVCL was adjudged Runners Up for the Greenest DISCOM Category of IPPAI Power Awards 2013. On 19-Nov-2014 UGVCL received India Power Award–2014 under the Category: Best Overall Performance in Private Sector & PSU. On 05-Sep-2015, the Company was adjudged as Winner for Best Performing Distribution Company category during the 16th Regulators and Policymakers Retreat 2015 of the IPPAI Power Awards 2015’s mega event held at Goa Marriott Resort & Spa, Goa. On 28-May-2016, UGVCL won ICAI’s National Award for Excellence in Cost Management under the Category - Public-Service Sector (Large). On 29-Dec-2016, UGVCL won CBIP Award as Best Performing Power Distribution Utility of Central Board of Irrigation & Power (CBIP), New Delhi. On 28-Oct-2017, UGVCL was selected as the winner of IPPAI Award under the category - Best Performing Distribution Company. On 23-June-2018, UGVCL was selected as the winner of SKOCH Silver Award in the category – AT&C Losses System. On 14-Nov-2018, UGVCL has won ICC Award under the category – Uday Performance Award. ૧. સબડીવીઝનના કાય અને ફ૨જો તેમના કાય ે હેઠળ આવતા તમામ વીજ ાહકોને િનયિમત વીજ પુ૨વઠો પૂ૨તા દબાણથી મળી ૨હે તે અંગેની યવ થા ક૨વી.

નવીન વીજજોડાણો િનયત સમયમયાદામાં મળી ૨હે તે અંગેનું આયોજન ક૨વું. વીજ ાહકોની ફરીયાદોના િનયત સમયમયાદામાં િનકાલ થાય તે અંગનેી યવ થા ક૨વી. વીજ ચોરીના દુષણને ને તનાબૂદ ક૨વા સમયાંતર ેવીજ ચકેીગં કરી ફીડ૨ના ટીએ ડી લોસ ઘટાડવા. વીજ ાહકોને િનયિમત વીજ બીલ આપી તેની વસુલાત ક૨વી.

સબડીવીઝન ચાલુ કયાની તારીખ઼. તાબા હેઠળના તાલુકાવા૨ ગામોની િવગત (વીજ ાહકો સાથે તથા ડીફ૨ માણ)ે ાહકોની સં યા કેટેગરી માણ ે સબ ટેશનના નામ તથા તેમાથંી નીકળતા ફીડરોના નામ઼ સબડીવીઝનના તાબા હેઠળનો વીજ પુ૨વઠો પુરો પાડતા િવ તા૨નો નકશો. સબડીવીઝનમાં કામ ક૨તાં કમચારીઓના હો ા માણે ટેલીફોન નંબ૨ સાથનેી માિહતી. લાઈનનું સમા૨કામ નવીન લાઈન ઉભી ક૨વાનો કો ટા્રકટ, ટા સફોમ૨ રીપ૨ેનો કો ટાકટ, િવગરે ેઅંગેની માિહતી

રાખવી. ટેકનીકલ, એ ટા લીશકે ટ, રવે યનુે લગતા તમામ સ૨ સુરોની ફાઈલ કરી રાખવી.

િનયામક મંડળ ારા સં થાની કામગીરી અંગે જ ેિનણય લેવામાં આવે છે, તેના અમલ માટે જન૨લ ટે ડીગં ઓડ૨ બહા૨ પાડવામાં આવે છે.

૨. મે યુઅ સ (Esta. Manuals)

સં થાની કામગીરીની િવિવધ િ યા માટે મે યુઅ સ ારા માગદશન આપવામાં આવેલ છે. તે અનુસા૨ િવિવધ કામગીરીઓ હાથ ધ૨વામાં આવે છે.

૩. પિરપ (Circulars)

સં થાની કામગીરી સબંિધત સુચનાઓ, પ તાઓ માગદશન માટે પિરપ ો બહા૨ પાડવામાં આવે છે. તેના પુ તક વ પે સં હ ક૨વામાં આવ ેછે. વહીવટી પિરપ ો, એકાઉ ટસ પિરપ ો, વીજ િવત૨ણ પિરપ ો તથા કોમશ યલ પિરપ ો કોપ રટે કચરેીઓથી બહા૨ પાડવામાં આવે છે અને તે તમામ ે ીય કચેરી, વતુળ કચરેી, િવભાગીય કચેરી તેમજ પેટા િવભાગીય કચેરીએ ઉપલ ધ ૨હે છે.
