Created in 2013, Agence de Développement Economique Pyrénées Méditerranée Invest is a Public Interest Group. The agency uses this ‘public-private’ complementarity so

that a maximum of skills and expertise are available to entrepreneurs in the department, thus contributing to the economic attractiveness of the region. The economic players of the Pyrénées-Orientales rely on the economic development agency, Pyrénées Méditerranée Invest, to concretize the obtaining of the label «Community French tech» in 2020 through actions such as the 4YFN.

French Tech is an accreditation that is awarded to French cities recognized for their startup ecosystem. The French Government created the French Tech Initiative in 2013 transforming France into a “Digital Republic”.

The French Tech Perpignan association aims to promote economic development in the Pyrenees Orientales through innovation and support. Bringing together 60 startups since the association obtained the accreditation in April 2019.It unites a community of local entrepreneurs whose values are based on innovation and collaboration.
