Reactions 383 - 11 Jan 1992 Carbamazepine Neuroleptic malignant syndrome: case report Clear symptoms of neuroleptic malignant syndrome developed in a 57-year-old man after 21 days’ carbamazepine therapy. Carbemazepine therapy had been given because of psychosis refractory to electroconvulsive therapy. Neuroleptic malignant syndrome had occurred previously during neuroleptic therapy.
