As You Like It, Willliam Shakespear

All the world’s a stage, and all the

men and women merely players: they have their exits and

their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts,

his acts begin seven ages..

In the information society we are in danger of losing sight of contexts. Museums and exhibitions can of-

fer a place where contexts of meaning can be experienced

and opened up to discussion, where the roots of the pres-

ent are revealed in the past and knowledge is conveyed in

a way that restores our capacity for astonishment and in-

quiry.

Q’s:

-which ways can spaces be utilized for informal exhibitions?

-certain spaces are best for certain content? (context oriented approach)

-certain content is best for certain space? (content oriented approach)

Goals:

1. comprehensive analysis of informal exhibitions in public and hybrid spaces2. environmental and behavioural research through prototypes3. final exhibition

Hypothesis:

Informal exhibitions can be used to actively engage users in socio-cultural content matter in ways that are commercially viable, and will therefore continue to gain value in a (post) capitalist society.
