Trzebnica administrative district in the northen part of Lower Silesian, in the
picturesque range of the Trzebnica Hills, where its rich history intermingles with
the modern recreational character of the town and the administrative district.
The picturesque landscapes, environmental resources as wel as tourist and
historical assets are an interesting alternative for a weekend familly trip.
Market of Trzebnica
Market is a place in the very center of the city. Thanks to the
numerous investments of the Trzebnica commune, the market square
and the town hall have been renovated and took the first place in the
Modernization of the Year 2009. This made the underestimated place
become a new and vibrant heart of the city. It is often chosen for
walks, but it also serves as a resting place.

Basilica of St. Hedwiga
Saint Hedwiga and Henry the Bearded left many traces of their activity
throughout Lower Silesia. The biggest, serving today is the Basilica of St.
Hedwiga in Trzebnica. By virtue of the decree of the Congregation for the
Clergy, in 2007 it received the status of an International Sanctuary. It is not
surprising that it is the most prominent showcase of the city and is the reason for
its residents' pride. Her sightseeing will certainly provide many positive and
unforgettable experiences.

Post-Cistercian Monastery of the Sisters of Borromeo
The Pocystist Monastery of the Sisters of Borromeo is one of the largest monastery buildings
in Central Europe. It was erected in the years 1696-1726 on the site of the original, much
smaller building (from the early thirteenth century). The building is a two-level building with
two corner pavilions in the front wall. The interior of the monastery contains several
interesting sculptures and paintings. Noteworthy are also beautiful refectars. Sisters of the
Congregation of Mercy of Saint Charles Boromeusz have been working here since 1870.

Rotunda of Five Tables
Rotunda of Five Tables is a circle-shaped object made of bricks
and turf ore from the 13th century. It was erected on the outskirts
of the city on the foundation of thirteenth-century granite blocks.
It is very likely that it was a place of charity run by Hedwiga. 7
Church of St. Ap. Peter and Paul
In the place of the present Church of St. Ap. Peter and Paul
became the first parish church in the history of Trzebnica. Its
founder was the oldest documented owner of Trzebnica, the
nobleman Peter Włostowic. 8
Chapel of St. Hedwiga
On Chapel Hill, at an altitude of 255 m. there is a small chapel
of the dedicated Saint Hedwiga. It was built in the eighteenth
century. As the legend says, rested here St.Hedwiga during her
travels to Wroclaw. 9
Forest Church
Church Fourteen Holy Helpers, commonly known as the Forestry
Church, was built in the neo-gothic style in 1886. A hermit living in a
nearby lonel looked after him; the last hermit was Feliks Plitzko who died
in 1946. 10
Solidarity Park
Between the streets: Stawowa, Klasztorna, Oleśnicka and Ks. Dz W. Bochenka is
the most beautiful family park, more than 1 ha, Solidarity Park.

Beech Forest
Beech Forest is a vast area located in the south-western part of the city,
in the pre-war spa complex, which along with the alleys, springs,
picturesque viewpoint and wooden observation tower was already in the
nineteenth century a quiet and charming place for walking and rest
Trzebnica. 12
Municipal Water Park TRZEBNICA-ZDRÓJ
The facility beautifully located near the leisure and recreation areas of the city is the most modern
object in the region. It consists of two parts. In the interior you can use the sports and recreational
pools and numerous saunas, whirlpools, water slides, whirlpool and children's pool. The outdoor
pool (open seasonally) is additionally equipped with external slides, a playground for children with
a paddling pool and a beach volleyball court.

A narrow-gauge railway locomotive
On Wrocławska street restored narrow-gauge locomotive of the Narrow-Gauge
Railway, which in September 1991 ended its activity, was set up in Wrocław. The
locomotive symbolically commemorates the functioning of Narrow-Gauge Railway
in Trzebnica. 14
Wine Hill
In our city, in Trzebnica, there is Wine Hill, commonly called by the inhabitants of
Cat Hill or Kitten. Tourist research of our city also confirmed that one of the
symbols associated with Trzebnica is the cat. What is also seeing is the wonderful
panorama from the Wine Hill towering over the town. At the foot of the hill,
archeologist discovered the oldest tracks of human ( Homo erectus ) activity in the
Polish land before approximately 500 000 years. 15

In July 2010, the Mayor of the Trzebnica Commune, Marek Długozima and members of the
„Comapny lovers of Trzebnica’’ initiated the campaign "CATS FROM THE CATCHES". A
sculpture made of granite - Young Couple: Kociogórek and Lubuszka stood on the market
square in Trzebnica. They refer to the colloquial name of Trzebnica Hills, such as Cat Hill
and to the Lubsza River flowing near Trzebnica, as well as to the wedding palace located in
the Town Hall. 16
Hills of Trzebnica
Trzebnica is located in an area with varied terrain. The Hills of Trzebnica are an area of
moraine hills with the shape of a wide embankment stretching for about ten kilometers (hence
the name Shaft of Trzebnica). The greater part of the hills lies in the northern and north-
eastern part of Lower Silesia. The elevations are part of the frontal moraine from the Middle
Polish glaciation period. A peculiarity are erratic boulders brought by a glacier from
Scandinavia and Karelia. Red granite and sandstone are the most abundant here. 17
Recreation
The adjacent revitalised areas of the former pre-war healt-resort
in the vicinty of Trzebnica ponds are a wonderful place for walks
and recreation both for town dewellers and the tourists visiting
our town.

Surroundings of Trzebnica
- The Small People's Museum in
Kowalskie in Marcinów - Marian
Kowalski for forty years has gathered
carefully and restored about 2,000
exhibits, which are presented in several
rooms called the Chambers. They
include antique furniture, clocks, chests,
folk costumes, prams, dolls, irons, oil
lamps, household appliances.
- Chamber of Mill Traditions in Mały Młyn in
Kuźniczysko - In April 2012, the Chamber of
Tradition of Młynarski was officially opened by
the Mayor of the Trzebnica commune, Marek
Długozima, and the mill was opened to the
public. Thus, the facility became the node of the
network of Small Home Museums associating
museum professionals from Poland, the Czech
Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Ukraine and
Germany. Since then, the mill has been giving
visitors the opportunity to do a "living history"
lesson and get acquainted with one of the
disappearing professions.
