At last I’ve got a dog! We’ve adopted a cute puppy called Tippy. It might be a nice name for a dog but it didn’t really appeal to us. I asked my friend to help me pick a new name for her. John said Bella was an ideal name for her. I quite liked it, but I finally decided that Lady was better than Bella or Tippy.

I was once trapped in a lift when I went to visit my friend. I kept pressing the alarm button for 15 minutes, but nobody came. I got very worried because I didn’t have my mobile phone with me, so I couldn’t call for help. I tried to force the lift door open. It moved slowly until finally I could open the door. I was free.

The lift got stuck between the 6th and 7th floor. I pressed the alarm button several times, but nobody came to help us. The other person in the lift got really upset, so I tried to convince him that there was nothing to worry about. When someone finally came, I felt relieved that I could leave the lift at last.

I was once stuck in a lift for about one hour. The biggest problem was that the alarm button didn’t work. At first I panicked, but luckily I wasn’t alone in the lift. The other people helped me to calm down. They even told a few jokes. One of them phoned the police. They came with a technician after about twenty minutes.
