IFE offers also Problem Based Learning team projects. PBL is a student-centred pedagogical method
in which students gain competences in given academic fields through solving particular problems.
Comparing to traditional educational model, PBL allows students to work in a more independent and
innovative way.
The projects take place in 4th semesters of all IFE’s programmes. The students are divided in 4-5
people groups and work under supervision of academic teachers assigned to each of the group.
The PBL projects are also available for exchange students.

OPEN TO STUDENTS OF ALL AGES• In 2008, TUL's Children's University welcomed its first students. The only children's university
operating within a technical university, it sets only one admission requirement: that its students be
7 to 12 year old. Its mission is to inspire children's curiosity and to teach in a simple and fun way.
• In 2007, TUL opened its secondary school. Most of its graduates go on to study at one of the degree
courses offered at TUL. In 2013, TUL's middle school opened its doors for the first time to welcome
a class of pupils.
• TUL also has something for seniors. Third Age University was established in 2006 with the aim of
including the elderly into the process of lifelong learning in order to empower them psychophysically.
