FAKAA LOFA LAHI ATU! 27 February 2020 Dear Parents, Caregivers and Friends Kia Ora, Talofa, Malo lelei, Namaste, Kia Orana and Greetings Principal It has been another busy week at school as I work with our builders to ensure we are meeting timeframes on getting our junior block back up and running and our children out of the hall. It was also our first BOT meeting of the year and I am happy to state that Rose Beattie will continue on in her role as BOT chairperson. In the weeks to come, I will introduce each BOT member via the newsletter so you can see who represents you all as parents. Hagley Sport Hagley sport is up and running and I enjoy seeing our teams in their uniforms ready to go. It is fantastic to see so many kids involved in sports and many first timers representing our school. Win, lose or draw I often get comments from other schools about how well the children behave and how they display excellent sportsmanship. Keep up the great work kids. Family Fun Night – Meet the Teacher We will be holding our annual Meet the Teacher Family Fun Night on Tuesday 3 March from 5pm to 6.30pm. It is a great time to bring the family along, there will be plenty of games and activities as well as a free sausage sizzle. Working Together The more we can connect with home and the more you can connect with school the better off your child will be in their learning. Conversations about learning, about attitude and creating good environments are really important. Right down to getting children to sleep at a suitable time for their age. Sleep is hugely important for growth and development. Contact Details It is important that you update your contact details if these have changed over the holidays. Blair Dravitski Principal
