Cattie, Jr. John serves as the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) Compliance subject matter expert for Garretson Resolution Group (GRG). In his role, John counsels clients nationwide with respect to MSP compliance. In so doing, John transforms clients into more efficient and profitable law firms and business units. John is a frequent speaker at continuing education events nationwide. He has authored or co-authored several published articles, including “Modernizing MSP Cost Containment Protocols” and “The MSP and the False Claims Act: The Government’s Most Potent Recovery Tool.” He also served as Managing Editor on DRI’s “Defense Practitioner’s Guide to Medicare Secondary Payer Issues.” For years, John has been updating GRG’s MSA White Paper, the nation’s leading academic analysis of MSA obligations, to take into account the most recent guidance from the federal government as well as relevant case law. Multiple federal and state courts have cited his work as “comprehensive and detailed”, “reasonable and reliable”, and “…more credible [than others] in the liability context.” John received his B.A. in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997, and his JD/MBA from Villanova University in 2003.
