PARENT TEACHER MEETING

In Griffins International School, our prime concern is to shape a child into an integrated personality. PTM provides this big opportunity to work for the child. Great opportunity to know and to work for purification and modification of student's performance and to ensure best academic and non academic performance of child.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

A mentor, friend, lover and a deity was born on Janmashtami. We celebrated this eventful day amidst colourful dance performances, blissful music and informative speeches. To top it all was the human Tower formed by our students to mark the ceremonial Dahi Handi ritual was worth a watch. Lord Krishna has been an epitome of knowledge and hence Griffins International School salutes and celebrates this abundance of knowledge of his and vouches to imbibe it into each Griffinite.

CELEBRATION OF 73RD INDEPENDENCE DAY AND

RAKSHA BANDHAN

"In grateful remembrance of all those men and women who with Smiles on their face, faced bullets in their chest" - Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Unfurling of the national flag by chairman, marked by the Salute of the School band, followed by a musically enriched creatively choreographed program made the highlights as Griffins International School pays tribute to the Tricolor on the 73rd Indian Independence day. We were glad to celebrate the bonding of a nation alongside the bonding of a brother- sister relationship through the Raksha Bandhan festival.

FIRE SAFETY DRILL

Griffins international School organised a fire safety drill in the premises on 17th August ,2019. Fire fighters from the Kharagpur Fire Brigade came to the school. Mr. S. Das (leading fire operator) gave an inauguration speech to make our children aware about the fire hazards and their precautions. Following this Mr. D.Maity (officer in charge) gave logical information about fire and its types. He made everyone aware about the fire extinguisher system. A fire drill was conducted whilst the children learned to use emergency exits to go out to the open at the siren of the fire alarm. Their time and effort proved beneficial as Griffinites were now more equipped to face situations related to fire break outs.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

Sports department enthusiastically honoured national sports day amidst speeches recitation and action drama. Children also showcased a glimpse of their control over each sport in this differently choreographed sports drama. To top it all was the tug of war between the teaching and non teaching staff. Children heartily cheered the teams.

INTERHOUSE SWIMMING COMPETITION

The annual event of swimming competition was held 31st August, 2019. A gallery full of cheering children and enthusiastic participants. Our Chairman was also present to witness children perform in events like freestyle, backstroke, relay etc..

EAST ZONE KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP (Our Karate Kids)

Our reward lies in the achievements of our students. An entire group of talented students of Griffins international school won laurels for the institution by participating in the 3rd Japan kenyu Ryu open east zone karate championship 2019, organised by ghatsila youth academy of martial art and kenyu Ryu karate association of Jharkhand . Our students won the following positions :

congratulates them for their amazing performances and wishes that they continue doing

the good work .

LITTLE MASTERMIND- MASTER ARKADEEP MONDAL "Never say never because limits , like fears are just illusions " A student of Griffins international school , Master Arkadeep Mondal is a living example of the above mentioned quote. His hard work and determination along with his passion and knowledge of the game of chess has enabled him to win laurels for the school and for everyone around him. He has been selected for the national school games 2019-2020 where he would be representing Paschim mednipur at Dakshin Barasat S.A high school , south , 24 Parganas on the 13.9.19 to 15.9.19. The never give up attitude that he upholds is worth a watch . He has been

practicing daily believing that practice does make a man perfect. The

Griffins family wishes him all the best for all his future endeavours.

CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME

ON

LIFE SKILLS

CONDUCTED BY : Centre of Excellence, CBSE, Bhubaneshwar RO

The Capacity-Building-Programme on Life Skills is a part of a comprehensive approach to inculcate the life skill values in a child for betterment. CBSE is responsible for the implementation of the training programme on life skill practices, which was jointly imparted by Dr.Shankar Prasad Dutta and Mr.Ramesh Agarwal The long term expected result of the training programme is to enhance the capacity of the students to deal with the practical life situations. During the workshop, 50 teachers from various schools from all over West Bengal were trained on life skill values through different modules and one practical session. TRAINING MODULES

1) Perspective building on life skills. 2) Transacting life skills 3) Assessment life skills

PRACTICAL SESSIONS Familiarisation with life skills through activities Overall, the training of trainers programme was successfully conducted by the entire team.
