    This doc ument will help you to get sta rted using our new online system. Com mon

    tasks will be explained step-by-step, inc luding reg istering ne w exporters,

    app lying for insuranc e and g uarantee p rod uc ts, and m anaging your Ex-Im Bank

    transactions.

    Ex-Im Onlinehas been designed with the b roker in mind, a llow ing you to:

    view and ma nag e a ll of your polic ies online; subm it and trac k new polic y and buyer approval ap plications; view and ac cep t po lic y quotations; view and p rint po lic y documents; submit shipm ent rep orts;

    a ll in one p lac e, ava ilab le a nytime , anywhere.

    So how do I get started?

    Due to unique broker Ex-Im Online ac cess rights, all ac tive Ex-Im Bank approved

    brokers will be pre-registered in Ex-Im Onlineand provided with a tem po rary

    username and password. Please c onta c t the Direc tor of Broker Relations, Judith

    From the ma in ExIm we bsite, c lic k App ly Online in the Quick Links sec tion, or

    type https:/ / eximonline.exim.gov in your web brow ser.

    How do my customers ge t started?

    For new customers you w ill nee d to assist them in reg istering and naming you a s

    their b roker. This will ena b le you to view and com plete new app lica tions on the

    exporters beha lf, and v iew / ma nage in-force polic ies, a ll from your persona l

    ac count in Ex-Im Online.

    This proc ess has three parts, de ta iled in the fo llow ing sec tions.

    Step 1 Crea te the exporters user account in Ex-Im OnlineStep 2 Nam e your com pany as broker

    Step 3 Grant b roker ac c ess rights when submitting a new polic y app lica tion

    We strong ly enc ourage you to wa lk throug h these step s with your custom er to

    insure prop er access to the ir app lica tions and policies in Ex-Im Online.

    Navigating in Ex- Im Online

    Before we b eg in, here a re a few g eneral c om ments on naviga ting your wa y

    through the system.

    It all starts with the Landing Page. The Ex-Im Online Hom e link a t the top rightcorner of eac h pa ge returns you to the Land ing Page, the sta rting point for a ll

    your ac tivities in Ex-Im Online.

    Dont use the Bac k button in your browser. Ex-Im Onlinedynam ically c rea tes

    each pag e, and na viga tion buttons are provided a t the bo ttom of eac h pag e.

    Save and Exit without losing information. Once c omp leted a c heck ma rk

    appea rs next to tha t sec tion. At any point, just c lick Save and Exit . All

    informa tion in com pleted sec tions is reta ined , and you c an pick up where you

    left off by choosing Continue a Saved Application from the Land ing Pag e.

    Saved but not submitted app lica tions will be rem oved from Ex-Im Online a fter 90days.

    Comp lete applications in any o rder. Applica tions a re d ivided into sec tions

    (right) and c an b e c om pleted in any order. Clic king Continue will take you

    through eac h sec tion one-by-one, but they can be c om p leted in any orde r.

    Registering New Users in Ex- Im Online

    Two d ifferent p rotocols exist for esta b lishing user acc ounts in Ex-Im Online . The

    pa thwa y you should c hoose d ep end s on whethe r or not your c lient is brand

    new to Ex-Im Online.

    New To Ex- Im Online User Ac counts

    If you a re sure no one e lse a t your c lient s com pany has estab lished / reg istered

    the com pany with Ex-Im Online, follow the follow ing steps:

    If anyone at your clients company has ever logged into Ex-Im Online and/or

    submitted an application, their company information is in Ex-Im Online.

    Additional user accounts can be created so multiple members of your clientscom pany c an ac cess the com pa nys transac tion informa tion. To create

    additional accounts for your client, you will need to enter your clients

    Participa nt ID# a nd zip c od e. If you do no t have this information, please have

    your c lient c onta c t Exim Bank to estab lish the account. Plea se c onta c t Cred it

    Naming a Broke r

    save a nd exit a t any point without losing their information.

    Email Confirmation & Tracking Numbers

    Every transac tion submitted in Ex-Im Online(new ap p lication, subm itted

    shipment report, amendment req uest) is assigned a unique trac king numb er

    tha t c an be used to chec k the transac tions sta tus a t a ny time . Upon submission

    of a new app lic ation both exporter and broker will rec eive ema il notifications

    that also c onta in the trac king num be r.

    the expo rter and broker will rec eive email notifica tion tha t a quo tation has been

    issued and is rea dy to be v iewed in Ex-Im Online. Both the exporter and b roker

    can ac cess the quota tion b y log ging into the system and c lic king on the Ac ton Quote link from the land ing page .

    Policy Parameters

    Sam ple po lic y doc uments can b e viewed and printed. To a ccep t a quota tion,

    the expo rter will select the b utton next to the app rop ria te p arameters and c lic k

    Continue. They will then be p rom pte d to enter a po lic y effective da te, and

    provided with options for pa ying the a dva nce p remium.

    Tips: Onc e the polic y has been accep ted , the quo te doc uments will be

    removed from the expo rter/ broker land ing p ag e unde r Ac t on Quote and will

    appea r under Insurance In-Force / Rec ently Exp ired Polic ies onc e p rem ium has

    been ap p lied and the polic y issued . Thus, the exporter/ b roker ma y want to p rint

    a copy of the quote d oc uments during this lag time betw een q uote

    ac c epta nce and po lic y issuance.

    Also, by p aying premium due b y either c red it c ard o r ACH, the polic y

    doc uments will be g enerated muc h quicker, som etimes within hours of

    ac cepta nce vs. payment by c heck whic h ma y delay po lic y issuance b y aweek. If pa ying b y check p lea se inc lude the invoic e sc reen w ith the chec k and

    include the po lic y # on the c heck.

    5. View In-Force Polic y

    Upon ac cep tanc e of the quota tion and p ayment of the advance p remium, the

    expo rters polic y is issued in Ex-Im Online. Pictured below is the Policy Land ing

    Page , ac cessible from both the exporter and broker land ing pa ges under the

    Insurance In-Force/ Recently Expired Polic ies link.

    This page d isp lays a ll policy parameters, end orsem ents, approved SBCLs &

    IBCLs, pend ing (in-process) and saved app lica tions. Links in the top right c orner

    provide ac cess to c om mon polic y ma nag ement a c tivities such as viewing

    policy doc uments, req uesting new SBCL/ IBCLs, rep orting shipments, and

    Step 3 - Add Shipments Deta il

    shipment repo rting values will persist excep t for Amount when ad d ing a nothe r

    shipment.

    All shipm ents ma de d uring a pa rticula r month ma y be rep orted a ll a t onc e a t

    the end of the mo nth or rep orted on a shipme nt by shipment b asis. Thus the

    field for Month-end Date ma y contain either the date of the last da y of the

    month or a p a rticular day during the m onth. Online will not ac cep t shipm ent

    rep orts with future d ates only todays da te o r dates in the past.

    Using the Ad d/ Ma nage Buyer link you c an ad d new Disc retiona ry Cred it

    Authority (DCL) buyers and manage the p re-po pula ted buyer list. How eve r,

    you c an only add new buyers if they are assoc ia ted with a shipme nt rep ort.

    New b uyer rec ords c an t b e c rea ted and then saved for use in future shipm ent

    reports.
