The healthcare systems in Europe are facing new

challenges such as the ageing of thepopulation, and

increased budgetary pressure. In this context,

mHealth could be one of thetools to tackle these

challenges by contributing to a more patient-focused

healthcare, andsupporting the shift towards

prevention while at the same time improving the

efficiency of the system. 1.3 Increased

Głównym celem Projektu jest stworzenie podstaw naukowych pozwalających na opracowanie narzędzi

umożliwiających leśnikom i instytucjom zarządzającym lasami, dokonania oceny zagrożeń dla europejskiej

3.1 Work plan – Workpackages, deliverables and milestones

General Assembly (GA)

The GA, which was officially appointed during the kick-off meeting, is constituted by one

representative per beneficiary who has power to commit their organisation in choices that may be

made regarding the project. The GA will be the ultimate decisionmaking body of the project on

high-level strategies and key issues that may require for instance changes to the work planned,

changes to the consortium etc.

The Project Steering Committee (SC) , integrated by representative of each of the participating

organizations: 10 members, as the highest decision-making body in the project…………The SC

An external Advisory Board (EAB) has been appointed and steered by the Executive Board. The

EAB shall assist and facilitate the decisions made by the consortium.

different agro-climatic regions, and with experience of a range of existing international research.

experience in agroforestry science (encompassing crops, livestock, trees and the environment) and

access to the best agroforestry experiments in Europe. The consortium also includes participants

Communication within the Consortium

As already stated, the consortium will keep in close contact via e-mail using the Google mailing lists,

information flow. In order to allow the exchange of documents and reports, a structured Intranet

solution for all NCPs will be further developed under the project website by M02.

The proposed consortium has already a relatively high degree of gender equality, because of the fact

that all participating partners are equal-opportunity employers. At present approximately 3/5 female

and 2/5 male researchers are scheduled to participated in the project.

5.1 Ethics

The AGFORWARD consortium has considered potential ethical issues associated with carrying out

the project….. The project will completely comply with all national legislation where the research is

carried out. The project will also be in conformity with relevant EU legislation, in particular, the Charter

of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and other international conventions and declarations,

including the Helsinki Declaration in its latest version, the Convention of the Council of Europe on

Human Rights and Biomedicine, the Additional Protocol on the Prohibition of Cloning Human

Beings, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Universal Declaration on the Human

Genome and Human Rights adopted by UNESCO, the Convention on Biological Diversity and the

related Cartagena protocol, and the International Treaty on Plant Genetic resources for food and

agriculture.

5.1 Ethics c.d.

The AGFORWARD project involves management and use of farm animals. However, this does not

include invasive techniques and includes only common practices for animal husbandry in

participating countries. The applicants confirm that animal husbandry practice imposed by the

project will follow legal requirements and good agricultural practice in the respective countries.

We concur that our research shall comply with the relevant national, EU and international

ethicsrelated rules and professional codes of conduct. Where necessary, the beneficiary(ies) shall

provide the responsible Commission services with a written confirmation that it has received (a)

favourable opinion(s) of the relevant ethics committee(s) and, if applicable, the regulatory

approval(s) of the competent national or local authority(ies) in the country in which the research is

to be carried out, before beginning any Commission approved research requiring such opinions or

approvals. The copy of the official approval from the relevant national or local ethics committees

will be provided to the responsible Commission services.
