Canadian Orff Clinicians List General Note: all motions are CARRIED unless otherwise noted.

May 8, 1986 THAT a resource list of Canadian Orff Clinicians be established by the National Executive of MUSIC FOR CHILDREN - CARL ORFF CANADA - MUSIQUE POUR ENFANTS. (Sister Marcelle Corneille, Phyllis Ilavsky) Recommendations:

- that every page involved in this list state clearly that this is a resource list only, and does not mean that MUSIC FOR CHILDREN - CARL ORFF CANADA - MUSIQUE POUR ENFANTS endorses these people.

- that chapters be asked to submit a list of recommended workshop leaders, with their names, addresses, telephone numbers, and outline of workshops given for that chapter.

- that the individuals named be approached for [a] a résumé [b] permission to allow their name to be included in our resource list.

- the résumé should include: name, address, postal code, telephone number with area code, present position, business address and telephone number, educational background (diplomas, degrees, certificates etc.), Orff-Schulwerk training (what levels? when taken? where taken? with whom?), general teaching experience, Orff teaching experience, what workshops done (when? where? for whom?), publications and articles written (when they were printed? in what periodical or journal?), an indication of what workshop areas are preferred - e.g., singing, speech, improvisation, basic Orff methods, instrumental, recorder, movement, research, other (please specify)

- that the National Executive create a central file which will include names, résumés, lists of workshops each person has given and where the workshops were given

- that anyone inquiring about a workshop leader can contact the individual chapters who have had workshops given by people whose names are included in the list

- that every two years, written permission will be sought from workshop leaders, that we may continue to have their names on the list.

THAT the Third Vice-President be responsible for the resource list of Canadian Orff Clinicians. (Carolyn McMillan, Doreen Hall)

May 13, 1989 THAT a list of current Canadian Clinicians be compiled and sent to Chapter Presidents. (Two persons opposed) (Judy Sills, Morna-June Morrow) The Canadian Clinicians list should be sent to the National Executive and Chapter Presidents.

May 1, 1993 Copies of the Clinician's List were circulated at the meeting. Suggestions were made concerning the format of the list.

1. THAT the current Clinician's List be circulated to Chapters, with a request that they update their section of the List, by September 30, 1993.

2. THAT a standard form be sent at the same time, for Chapters to complete, if they wish to

add any new clinicians' names and credentials. 3. THAT the same form appear in the September 1993 issue of OSTINATO. 4. THAT a new Clinicians' List be printed and circulated to all Chapter Presidents and

National Executive by November, 1993. (Mary Robinson Ramsay, Leslie Bricker)

April 14, 1994 Recommendation: That the Clinicians' List be on a database which is compatible with the Membership List.

April 28 - 30, 1995 THAT a committee be struck to establish guidelines outlining what Carl Orff Canada perceives an "Orff Specialist" to be. This should be done by September 30, 1995. (Sills/Kenny-Gardhouse)

April 17 - 21, 1996 THAT the criteria for using the title Orff Specialist be adopted as a position. (Berarducci/Sills) Recommendation: That Orff Specialist position paper, other position papers and a copy of levels guidelines be inserted as an appendix in the Policies and Procedures handbook.

April 25-27, 1997 Orff Specialist Paper THAT this revised document be accepted. (Bricker/Bischoff) THAT Section ll, E1 of the Policies and procedures Manual be amended as follows:

1. The list of Canadian Clinicians should be circulated to Chapters, for updating, by April 30 of each year. • Clinicians who are currently on the list should be sent a form, for update, by April

30 of each year. • The Third V.P. should request that updated forms and lists be returned by June

15th of each year. 2. An announcement regarding placement on the standardized clinician's list should

appear in the April issue of Ostinato. 3. The updated Clinician's List should be printed and circulated to Chapter Presidents

and National Executive by August 31 of each year. (Bricker/Berarducci)

May 7 - 10, 1998 MOVED THAT the update of the current List of Canadian Orff Clinicians be done bi-annually. On going solicitation shall continue. (Bricker/Walker) Recommendation: That information regarding a clinician's previous workshops and biography be available on request. Recommendation: That the 1994 Workshop Topics and Clinicians List Brochure and purpose be given and re-explained to Chapter Presidents at their 1998 meeting. A sample of such be kept in the Advocacy section of the Policy and Procedure Manual.

November 2007 MOVED THAT COC no longer maintain or distribute a list of Canadian Clinicians. (Eve de Moissac, Cathy Bayley)
