ABSTRACT Rivers are the centers of gravity for the urban of cities, where the first nucleus of the city on its river's banks, and then spread to the rest of the urban extensions to the north, south, east and west. Different methodologies to develop and upgrade the banks of the rivers in the cities of the world depend on the circumstances and the possibilities available in terms of site conditions, and view the river and also in terms of the city's history and architectural and cultural heritage of the city... Etc., and also differed overall vision to address the banks of the river and its course, or what could be called the general development strategy, where the overall objectives of development are derived, foe example models of the river cities such as Shanghai city in China, Bilbao city in Spain and London city in England.
