Tadeusz MakowskiA great Polish Painter
Tadeusz Makowski was born on 21 January 1882 in Oświęcim near Krakow. He was one of the prominent Polish painters.
At University
Makowski attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
He studied under Jan Stanisławski and Józef Mehoffer.
In 1909, he departed for Paris. He was very active in France for most of his life.
Makowski started off as a landscape painter. He is arguably most famous for his rural landscape paintings.

After a while he shifted towards Post-Impressionism and Cubism.
He met Pablo Picasso and they became good friends.
