Tomasz Wolanin – Telecommunications Solutions Consultant in the Sales Department of SALUMANUS Sp. z o.o. He provides technical support to sales and deals with advanced telecommunications projects in various technological areas: DWDM, CWDM, SDH, IP, Ethernet. Topic of Presentation: Zero-Touch/Auto-Provisioning in Carrier Ethernet 2.0 network Language: Polish Abstract: Carrier Ethernet 2.0 introduces new kinds of services and functionalities in Ethernet network and the complexity of configuration and the rising number of customers require more and more time to deploy, test and monitor the specific services. The automatization of the process of complex configuration of network devices considerably contributes to lower costs of services deployment, faster services deployment, it eliminates human error and limits to minimum the process of manual installation of the final product. During the lecture an authorship tool by Raisecom company will be presented which enables to automatically configure demarcation points and aggregation switches (CE2.0 certification) and tests based on Y.1564 will be carried out.

Carrier Ethernet 2.0

Generations Future

A Carrier Ethernet

Generation defines the evolution of

MEF-compliant networks and

services

Carrier Ethernet 1.0 networks and services enable standardized Ethernet services to

be delivered over one provider’s network

Carrier Ethernet 2.0 networks and

services enable multiple classes of

service and manageability over

interconnected provider networks

Carrier Ethernet Future Generation

networks and services will enable

simplified, automated service

delivery

4

Carrier Ethernet 2.0Bandwidth Profiles & Traffic Management

• Bandwidth profiles governed by:

• (CIR) Committed information rate guarantee data rate

• (EIR) Excess information rate exceeds CIR,

but will be delivered “best effort”

• (CBS/EBS) Committed/excess burst size

5

Carrier Ethernet 2.0Multiple Classes of Service

• Multi-CoS has been around forever

• First V-LAN performance test for multi-CoS conducted in 1997

• However, MEF is first to specify standardized objectives for Multi-CoS

• For performance, interconnect and management
