There are 18 university level schools in the Szczecin Metropolitan Area (SMA), the main are:– University of Szczecin – over 30 000 students– Westpomeranian Technological University – 17 000
students– Westpomeranian Business School – 4 900 students– Szczecin Maritime University – 3 600 students– Pomeranian Medical University – 2 500 students
Overall number of students in the SMA – 61 000
Main degrees include: processing, engineering, construction, economy and management, IT, biotechnology, law, electronics, mathematics, chemistry
