The designations shown on this map are covered under Title 36Code of Federal Regulations, part 212.51 and Part 261.13 apply to the described roads, trails, and areas during the period describedon the Motor Vehicle Use Map. Violations of these regulations aresubject to a fine of not more than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00)or inprisonment for not more than six (6) months or both.(16USC551)

OHV (Off-Highway Vehicle) routes identified on this map are subject to dual-use conflicts during Timber Sale harvesting operations. OHVuse is discouraged in these areas.

This map provides the user with a depiction of the designated roadand trails where it is legal to operate a motor vehicle. Refer to thelist of roads on the backside of this map for any seasonal restrictions that may apply. This map does not supply information aboutnon-motorized uses or other facilities or attractions on the NationalForest. Operating an ATV or other motor vehicle on National Forest roads,trails, and areas open to cross country travel carries a greater responsibility than operating the same vehicle in and around town.Not only must the operator know and follow all traffic rules but theymust show care and concern for the natural environment as well asother forest users. The misuse of motor vehicles can lead to thetemporary or permanent closure of any road, trail, or area.PROTECT YOUR PRIVILEDGES, STAY ON DESIGNATED ROADS,TRAILS AND AREAS. Individuals should be aware that the roads,trails, and areas may contain hazards that are not signed or even known to Forest Officials. Care should be taken at all times to protect oneself and those in your care. Much of the National Forestmay be remote and medical assistance would not be readily available.Cell phones do not work in many areas of the National Forest. Takeadequate food, water, first aid supplies and other equipmentappropriate for the conditions and expected weather.
