ICT: Service robotics within assisted living environments. The proposal aims to contribute to several

key robotic technologies for assisted living, as well as providing a clear use-case for older people with

WP1 Management: The main objectives of this WP will be to manage and monitor the evolution of

the project and to ensure that the project meets its objectives within the time and the budget limits.

WP2. Evaluation of suitability of Natural Antimicrobials and their selection.

The overall strategy of WP1 is to provide the right inputs to the activities of the others WPs, selecting

the natural antimicrobial (NA) substances for target microorganism, target food and the chosen

packaging materials, having the highest possibilities of being successfully incorporated in final

package and being effective in real applications. The activities of this WP, in part, will precede the ones

of all the others WPs and in part will be parallel.

WP3.Development of effective active materials: The main objective of WP2 is to develop polymeric

active materials which contain the antimicrobial agent selected or polymers, which are antimicrobial by

themselves.

WP4. Packaging system design The objective of this WP regards design and up-scaling of packaging

process systems for the polymer/AN additive systems, presented and/or developed in WP 1, 2 and 6.

The up scaling will be performed on pilot plants. Finally, implementation preparations will be

performed together with industrial partners on bigger pilot plants or on their in house facilities

Beneficiaries means the legal entities who have signed the Grant Agreement (GA)

3. Implementation

3.1 Work plan Workpackages, deliverables and milestones

przykad: PROJECT will be organized in 5 workpackages(WP) and will last 24 months. WP1 will

be dedicated to the management of the consortium and the overall supervision of progress as

compared with the plans. All WP will work closly together to achive the objectives of PROJECT.

include three elements, one will be the webpage, the second the workshops, and the third the

consulting groups. The platform will built during the first three month.

organized to wrap up the results of the project and identify potential developments for the future.

The project consortium consist of 10 partners who will sign the Grant

The project coordinator will draw up a Cosortium Agreement, which will be signed by all partners at

the beginning of the project.

Management structure

A strong project management structure will be implemented based on the:

1. The dcision making level: the Project Coordinator, the Steering Committee is the ultimate

decisions making body of the project in collaboration with the European Commission.

2. The executive level: the Project Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day management of

the project.

3. The operational level: Work Package Leaders, Task Leaders, beneficiaries. The operational

level is responsible for the execution of work in the project, as described in the Description of

Work

General Assembly (GA)

The GA, which was officially appointed during the kick-off meeting, is constituted by one

representative per beneficiary who has power to commit their organisation in choices that may be

made regarding the project. The GA will be the ultimate decisionmaking body of the project on

high-level strategies and key issues that may require for instance changes to the work planned,

changes to the consortium etc.

Steering Committee

The Project Steering Committee (SC) , integrated by representative of each of the participating

organizations: 10 members, as the highest decision-making body in the projectThe SC will

meet at least 5 times during the running of the project, starting with the first meeting (combined

with the Kick-Off meeting) in M01, and then every six months. Additional phone or Skype meetings

can be arranged in case urgent decisions have to be made or, in line with the communication

approach of the project, if questions arise which need an immediate answer.

Ethical Board (EB): The EB will include experts from within and outside the consortium with

multidisciplinary competences (ethics, privacy, security, economics, etc.). The ethical board will be

called upon wherever a relevant issue will be risen on this matters. The EB will monitor the fulfilment

of ethical and privacy requirements

Advisory Board: The AB will be made of high-level experts (from industry, standardization

industry,academia etc.) who will provide suggestions and recommendations on the activities of the

project at strategic level.

An external Advisory Board (EAB) has been appointed and steered by the Executive Board. The

EAB shall assist and facilitate the decisions made by the consortium.

The experts have been selected by the NAREB principal investigators based on a well balanced

distribution of scientific or strategic development-related expertises (ethical issues, safety issues,

science, industry, technology transfer, clinical trials, regulatory, etc.) useful for supporting our progress

towards our proposed objectives.

Two of these oservers have a strong expertise in Ethics, i.e. European standards and their evolution in

the field.

The members of the NAREB External Advisory Board are listed below:

PUCE Dr Franoise Roure, Chair Committee Safety, Security and Risks at French High Council

for Economy, Industry, Energy and Technology. She is expert in ethical espects of the use of

nanotechnologies in medicines.

PUCE Dr Chris Grove from the Centre for Economic and Social Aspects of Genomics, based in

Cardiff University, UK. His field of expertise is the Ethical aspects of responsible innovation in

nanotechnology and personal genomics..

In the Consortium Agreement the conditions on payment procedures and resource reallocation, in
