Metering

In this example two circuit monitor devices a re installed at eac h

floor. They ac t as a d ata conc entrator for the field sub meters,

which mayb e installed next to the electrica l distribution boa rds.

The circuit monitors ac t as the a nalyst in the floo r, identifying a nd

capturing events such as harmonics, undervoltages, currents etc.

Electrical network monitoring and control

In this applica tion all as pects of the electrica l power

netw ork are monitored and co ntrolled. The high

voltage d evices installed w ithin the s witchroom have

embedd ed Modbus c ommunica tion ca rds. The data

collected from these devices include energies, sta tus,

maintenance information, and protection settings.

These d evices are then connec ted typically to a

communication gatewa y which serves w eb pag es

allowing all the data from the circuit breaker to be

viewed using a sta ndard b rowser (loca lly or remotely).

For the low voltage network a similar philosophy exists

in that the d evices a ll have Modb us co mmunica tion

ca pabilities which also a llow them to b e integrated into
