As far as I could remember, I have always been moved by music. My peers have always been amazed at how I can easily recollect titles & artists and effortlessly put them together. From an early age, I started out collecting albums on tapes and with the advent of CDs and DVDs my collection grew. Though JAZZ is my mainstream, I have no qualms in adding SOUL, FUNKY, BLUES, ALTERNATIVE, ROCK, HARD ROCK, METAL ROCK, HEAVY METAL, NEW WAVE, NEW AGE, TRANCE, ELECTRO, SWING and RHYTHM AND BLUES, to my collection. I would say that I am an artist in my own right. It must run in the family since my grandfather, although a chef by profession has played the sax. My father on the other hand played absolutely beautiful music with the strings and has been a member of a band in his bachelor days. I myself have learned to play the guitar and piano by the ear. But what really piqued my interest was mixing music from different genres. From my music library, I used to do my remixes using our -3CD player mini component on family occasions and whenever I and my peers get together. And appreciation and enjoyment from my audience just gave

me the satisfaction like no other.

In mid2000- I met M-AUDIO TORQ EXPONENT and since it was not yet available in Dubai in those days, I purchased it over the net. It came to me via USPS and the locals were just curious what this contraption was?

The humble roots of my DJing career began. I had my equipment on one hand and the manual on the other…literally started from scratch, but as they say, where there’s a will, there’s always a way. I was given the chance to practice my newly learned skill during my annual leave where I played at a local club in Dumaguete.

Back in Dubai, Filipino DJs found common ground on Team PDDJs (Pinoy Digital DJs) webpage where I started out as a moderator and subsequently the administrator. As word got around, I soon found myself meeting up with show producers for local clubs and got shows alongside Filipino artists like Nina and Rufa Mae Quinto, K Brosas, Rachel Lobangco, Sarah Geronimo, Gary Valenciano to name a few. I met other

local DJs and international as well and got to play in high-end clubs such as The Warehouse, Jules Bar, Chi the Lodge, 360˚, Barasti and Catwalk.

With the enhancement of this skill in mind, I never turn down an opportunity to spin for a crowd. Not only do I perfect my skill in such events but I also get to impart the inspiration that can only be derived from music.
