For a long time, mould temperature control was a process that was based on a defined mold supply temperature in the mould, and adjusting it required a great deal of experience and pa-tience. ENGEL flomo took the first big step towards smart temperature control. The smart water manifold system measures, monitors and documents the temperature control process.Not only did e-flomo allow for the measurement of temperature and process parameters, it also enabled active regulation of the flow volume. flomo

flomo, the innovative water manifold system, monitors and documents the most important parameters of all cooling and temperature control circuits; vortex sensors permanently monitor flow and temperature. The system does not contain any moving parts and filters, and is consequently mainte-nance-free. The measured values are displayed simply, clear-ly, and in real-time on the ENGEL CC300 machine control.

The smart temperature control water manifold system: e-flomo allows every batch to be produced under constant process conditions thanks to its closed loop flow control. With a simple click you can load temperature control programmes and man-age them via the ENGEL CC300 machine control. This does not only ensure more process reliability, but also reduced set-up times.

e-flomo premium

The smart water manifold system that can be fully remote-con-trolled: e-flomo premium allows you to operate all its features via the CC300 machine control. Direct access to the man-ifolds is no longer necessary. All functions and data are of course centrally administered by the control: Forgetting or mixing up individual temperature control circuits is therefore a thing of the past!

A practical example clearly demonstrates the energy- and therefore cost-saving potentials that can be realised by smart temperature control of the mould.
