Message from the Managing DirectorOverview

Iron Products Industries Ltd. (IPI) has been active for more than 50 years in Nigeria. The company started as a steelwork manufacturer and has since become the leader in steel fabrication. The group has executed major projects around the country in all sectors with a focus on structural steel and oil and gas.Over the years, IPI has also diversified into automotive assembly, trailer manufacturing, paint manufacturing and logistics.

Steel structures is IPI’s core business. In the last 50 years, the group has executed a large number of notable projects. IPI recently completed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport extension, the Indorama Eleme petrochemical plant, a large number of oil & gas tank farms and shopping malls. IPI is the contractor of choice for a large number of companies such as Total Nigeria PLC, ExxonMobil, Coca-Cola, Flour Mills, Dangote Cement and Sugar, Nigerian Breweries, Novare.

IPI is one of the leading steel fabricators in the Oil & Gas industry. The group specializes in full turnkey projects in tank farms, pipelines, jetties, loading gantries, floating blankets, pressure vessels, abrasive blasting and painting of above ground storage tanks. IPI uses both conventional and hydraulic jacking methods for constructing storage tanks. The group also uses automatic girth welding machines for horizontal and vertical welding. Furthermore, IPI has built thousands of petrol stations for Total, Mobil, Oando across the country.

In the last 5 years, IPI has invested heavily on a state of the art tank manufacturing plant. The plant has the ability to manufacture all types of tanks such as square tanks, cylindrical, underground, double wall, petroleum and gas tankers. Our facilities consists of automatic rolling and welding, plasma and CNC, dishend machines as well as flanging, cutting and bending.

IPI caters to the generator industry. The company assembles and manufactures soundproof units, skid bases, mufflers, oil tanks, container soundproofs (2’000 KVA to 5’000 KVA). IPI invested in a powder coating line, plasma, CNC and punching.

Racking division


IPI offers a wide range of manufactured shelving as well as advising clients on the right types of storage solutions. IPI also designs and fabricates pallet racking, heavy duty shelves, supermarket shelves, slotted angle shelving, archive storage racking and mezzanine floors, cable trays, worker lockers and battery racks.

IPI created its automotive assembly division in 2008. Since then we have established ourselves as the leading non-exclusive automotive assembler in Nigeria. We are specialized in the assembly of trucks and buses of all types. We have a very broad client base from the largest transporters, FMCGs and logistics companies. The family are very proud to have been chosen by our esteemed partners to assemble for them.

IPI is the leading trailer manufacturer in Nigeria. It is estimated that IPI commands an 80% market share in the trailer market in the country. Companies such as Coca-Cola , Nigerian Breweries, Guinness, Flour Mills, Nestle and many other have relied on our trailers for over 40 years. We produce all types of trailers such as beverage carriers, drop side / drop tails, sided trailers, flat beds, curtain sided and other specialized bodies. IPI has strategic relationships with most of the transporters, logistics and distributions companies and we assist them with financing. In effect, IPI moves the nation.

Being the largest trailer and trucks manufacturer in the country, we decided to start a logistics division 5 years ago. Our fleet is now 150 units strong and we’re growing this division aggressively. We’re targeting 1’000 units by 2019.

We offer Full Truckload (FTL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Flatbed, Intermodal and Specialty freight shipping options to both domestic and international clients. Our transportation networks allow us to manage regional and long-haul truck shipments. Some of our esteemed clients

Our networkOverview

Since inception, the group has been acquiring land in Nigeria. We took a decision 10 years ago to build a network of warehouses across the nation. In each location, safety standards meet ISO 9001 requirements and we have also fitted all our warehouses with cold rooms. F&B and FMCG companies use our warehouses to store inventory and distribute across their various locations.IPI has recently acquired 55 hectares of land (connected by gas lines to reduce energy costs) on the Ibadan/Lagos expressway. Paint

FactoryOverview

Over the years, IPI’s consumption of paint has increased considerably. The group decided to further vertically integrate by creating our own paint company, Everrlastt.Our paint company was incorporated in 2008 under Freemont Global Structures Ltd. The company is registered with NAFDAC and is a member of the Paints Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. Everrlastt produces paints for the decorative, automotive, industrial and marine sectors. We cater mainly to the construction companies in Nigeria

Recycling processOverview

In 2011, IPI set-up Petra Rubber Co., a joint venture with with Lagos State to recycle old tires. It is the only tire recycling plant in Nigeria. This is a closed-loop environmental project with a public-private partnership. Lagos state collects used tires which are left on the side of the roads, further cleaning the streets. Petra Rubber processes the used tires and shreds them into little particles. The iron within the tires are sold as scrap and the processed rubber is sold to bitumen plants which they use to build roads and side walks.
