Very good impression on laid paper trimmed on or within the plate mark. Published in Theatrum Biblicum by Visscher. Sadeler was a prolific engraver and an important print publisher in the Low Countries during the later 16th centurty. His brother Raphael set up a printing house in Venice and his brother Aegidius (Giles) became Imperial Printmaker to Rudolf II. (Appearances to the contrary, the print is actually rectangular).
