• enhancement of the capital resources of young technology-oriented enterprises, intellectual property (patents etc.) belong to the company

Overview of Available Technology Subsidies in the State of Brandenburg:



Formal Prerequisites

• the applicant is a small and medium sized enterprise (SME) – with less than 250 employees and – an annual turnover of maximum 40 Million € or an annual balance

sheet sum of maximum 27 Million €– no non SME has a share of more than 25% in the company

• the industrial premises must be in the state of Brandenburg• the venture must not yet have begun• the total funding must be secured



Subsidising innovative technology projects

• definable venture (lasting 6-24 Months)• development of a new product or new production process

(innovation level)• own R&D staff or collaboration agreement with R&D institution• verifiable potential nationwide market• no specialised orders• no subsequent funding

• non re-payable grant• max. 200.000 EURO• max. 75% of the eligible costs



development, implementation and application of modern ICT technologies (new and economically utilisable products, services and processes right through to market implementation)

Priority is given to technological projects in the following fields:- knowledge based information systems for business and tourism - electronic data transmission applications - applications for innovative networks- multimedia and media technologies- data protection and data security

- non re-payable grant- max. 200.000 EURO- max. 75% of the eligible costs

The employment of up to two graduates from a polytechnic, institute of higher education or university with the following specialisations:

- management of; (i) innovative projects (ii) manufacturing

(iii) the environment - marketing with a technological emphasis- product development including preparation and design- business management

The workplace must be in the state of BrandenburgSME, manufacturing trades and service industries

A grant for the taxable gross salary for at least 24 months per graduate- in the first year: 50% maximum of 20.000 Euro- in the second year: 40% maximum of 10.000 Euro

Scientific Assistant



Consultations and training sessions carried out by external aptly qualified experts. With the following characteristics:

- The development and implementation of technologically new or improved manufacturing processes or products, with respect to their market viability. (This can involve all phases of the innovative process from the development of prototypes to the final introduction to market).

- The necessary economical aspects with reference to technology management

- The consultations or training sessions must differ from the daily business operations.

SME, manufacturing trades and service industries in the state of Brandenburg.A grant to the amount of 50 % of the eligible costs for consultations or training sessions, up to 25,000 € per eligible company per year.
