Ball Games Last Thursday 12th September, our school hosted our annual Ryan versus Bichel Traditional Ball Games. Students and sta had a fun morning of ball games activities culminating in a Tug of War. Ryan took the shield at the end of the event but all students must be congratulated upon their participation, sportsmanship and behaviour during this event. Thank you to Mr O'Donnell for his help with the shade structure for this event too, it was greatly appreciated.

Ball GamesLast Thursday 12th September, our school hosted our annual Ryan versus Bichel Traditional Ball Games.

Students and sta� had a fun morning of ball games activities culminating in a Tug of War. Ryan took the

Chess Tournament at Hatton Vale State SchoolChess playing students in years 4, 5 and 6 participated in an inter-school Chess Tournament last Thursday

afternoon at Hatton Vale State School. Thank you to parents for transporting and staying with their

children for this o� campus activity. Miss Taz reported that all students had a great time and behaved very

well.  A huge thank you to Miss Taz for attending; and also to Chappy Phil for coordinating this event, we

hope to participate in many more events like this in the near future. We feel that it is important for our

students to interact and meet students from  other schools within our local area.

Transport Permission NoteIf parents are wanting their child/ children to be transported by another individual to or from a school

event, they need to complete a Transport Permission form; and a copy of the completed and signed form

needs to be provided to the school prior to the date of transport. If you require a copy of this form for the

Speed Soccer/ Netball Carnival this Friday, please don't hesitate to ask Charlotte for a copy from the

Administration o�ce.    

Under 8's DayOur annual Under 8's Day will take place this Friday 20th September. Younger siblings of students are

more than welcome to come along for the morning session provided that they have parental supervision.

Students will undertake a range of fun and educational activities. Thank you to those parents who have

o�ered to come along and assist us for the morning. 

Speed Soccer & Netball Carnival TUCKSHOP REMINDERAs previously advised, this Friday our older students will participate in the Speed Soccer & Netball Carnival

at the Laidley Recreation Grounds. If students wish to purchase tuck shop on the day of this event, they will

need to take a small amount of money with them on the day.  

ICT Lessons in Term 4In term 4, Ms Michelle Boldizsar will begin ICT lessons to build student capability in this �eld throughout

the school; as well as her teaching Maths and Science in the Upper 4, 5 and 6 class.

KM Club SuccessLast Friday 13th September saw student Lincoln Fields congratulated at parade for his 100km Certi�cate

KM Club achievement. Lincoln turns up each week and pushes himself to achieve his very best, well done

Lincoln.

Private Property: Paddock across from SchoolPlease note that the paddock directly across from the school is private property and is not to be entered or

accessed by students or student families without invite by the owner at any time.     

Upcoming Book Fair in Term 4Mrs Pitkin will be hosting a Book Fair in term 4. Student Wish Lists will be sent home early on in the term.

We encourage students to come along and purchase books to encourage a love of reading. 

Parade this ThursdayParade will be held this Thursday 19th September at 2.40pm on the upper school deck. Parents are

welcome and are encouraged to attend.

Swimming Permission & Payment REMINDERPlease return your child's Swimming Permission form and accompanying payment if you have not already

done so. Swimming lessons will commence in week 1 of term 4.

Term DatesThis Friday 20th September will mark the last day of term 3. We wish all of our students and families a

restful and enjoyable break; and will see students back at school, refreshed, on Tuesday 8th October-

please remember that Monday 7th October is a Public Holiday.
